Your responsibilities & requirements

We’re looking for a Plant Specialist to join our Horticulture team. You are part of the Plant Specialist team and will work remote based, as you will travel to customers and projects across Europe regularly. Internal/team meetings normally take place in Eindhoven. You are also part of our global network of plant specialists in Horticulture LED Solutions.

Working for Signify means being creative and adaptive. Our culture of continuous learning and commitment to diversity and inclusion creates an environment that allows you to build your skills and career. Together, we’re transforming our industry.

As the world leader in lighting, we’re constantly ahead of the curve. The Signify Horticulture LED Solutions team develops customized ‘light recipes’ for horticulture that combine crop growth knowledge with lighting technology and AI. This approach allows growers to harvest a better quality and higher and more predictable yield throughout the year by using a light strategy optimized for their specific situation. This uses up to 85% less energy than conventional lighting. Working with research institutes, universities, growers and partners, we develop optimized lighting strategies to meet a grower’s unique needs.

Signify is one of the few companies in the world to achieve carbon neutrality and our next sustainability goals are even bolder: doubling our positive impact on the environment and society by 2025.

As a Plant Specialist you’ll be responsible for supporting customer’s projects in Europe and setting up and following recipe development with recipe partners and customers (growers). This includes relationship building with customers and partners necessary to achieve business objectives for the region.
